This album tends to get lost in the shuffle because of ABB's earlier greatness but I love the slide guitar of Warren Haynes on "Seven Turns" There are some solid songs on here, don't discount it outright.

I always appreciated the ABB but never bought an album until Seven Turns. I love the feel, the writing, and the groove. Although I have went back and recaptured the entire catalogue, this album reeled me in and marked the beginning of my favorite time period of the band. Listen to Gambler's Roll or Good Clean Fun if you don't think there was life after Duane and Berry.

I had not heard this album in a long time and listened to again recently and was amazed at how good this album is. While it is true that Duane Allman was one of the best he has been dead for a long time. The guitar on this rocks, and Gregg sounds great and keep an open mind and you might be pleasantly surprised. I know that I was and sat down and listened to it again and it got even better.

What a great Comback Album!!! All the problems with this band thru the late 70,s and thru the early 80,s they came out with there best release sence "Brothers and Sisters" there have been so many Allman Bro lineups after the death's of Duane and Berry, this one is the best buy far. adding Warren Haynes(slide guitar) and Allen Woody(bass) give this band the spark they needed. all the songs here are great. Seven Turns is the best song on this album "Good Clean Fun","Gambler's Roll","Let Me Ride", "Loaded Dice", and "Low Down Dirty Mean" are all great songs

Seven Turns is up there w/ their classic songs. Just a great, country Dickey masterpiece w/ Greg wailing in the background at the end after two stunning solos from Warren and Dickey.

Totally disagree with the last writer. While not as good as Eat a Peach or Brothers/Sisters, it's just a cut below. I consider it an essential in my Allman's catalog. Why? It has the allingredients of a great album: a variety of styles to keep it interesting, great songwriting, musicianship, and production. While none of the songs is a 'Blue Sky' or 'Jessica' all of the songs here are solid. And having Warren Haynes and legendary pianist Chuck Leavell, of Bros/Sisters - Clapton Unplugged, and Stones fame, on top of the classic lineup, makes it a sweet listen.

Very mediocre. With out Duane, and later Oakley the Bros were just never the same. A few songs are bearable such as good "Good Clean Fun" but Brothers and Sisters was their last strong album. If your just getting in to the Allman Brothers, Id recomend getting chronicles or begginings where they were really on top of their game. This album is probably more for the faithful followers.
