ITTMB is an absolute masterpiece, blows away Refuge Denied. Every song on here is perfect, the vocals, the guitar riffs (two distinct guitar melodies, all the time), Bass guitar that doesn't hide in the back ground, just enough so you know it's there. The drums are powerful and dead on.
This album is a perfect blend of American Power Metal, thrash, Classic Metal. The songs are so well done, it's almost difficult to believe you could like the next song just as much as the one you just heard.
This is an albu, fans of any metal style should own, and if you didn't have it yesterday, the get on it, and click the dang button!!
Before There Was NEVERMORE

There was Sanctuary........One must put the Voice of War Dane up there beside Halford, Tate, Erna, Midnight, Lowe and Bush........Their first disc resembled a heavier Iron Maiden but by Into The Mirror Black they'd created a sound and ferocity all their own.........Exceptional lyrics. ENJOY!
Great metal album

But it's just not as good as their first Album. It's still amazing, but you can tell that the vocalist took a lot less risk on this album. The lyrics are better, but their delivery is only half as face-smashing as the first album. Epitaph is my favorite song on the Album it has perfect song progression and is a treasure if you have the patience to listen to it; it pays off big-time. The entire album pays-off, and should be purchased, because it is awesome. Buy both of their albums and you'll be glad you did... when you do, you will obtain "Pure energy and perfect knowledge"
Classic thrasher !!!

It's really a shame that this band died and never released another album after this, because they were truly unique and talented. Although, if they hadn't have fallen apart we wouldn't have Nevermore so I guess it was a worthy sacrafice. Warrel Dane's extreme vocals are back, and even better this time around. You can tell he's been working hard since the previous album. The guitar work suffers from the same inconsistencies as the last album. There's some decent solos here and there and some solid riffs, but the overall package is a little on the boring side and lacking energy in some places. At times it seems as if the guitarists just weren't even trying. You can definitely tell Jeff Loomis wasn't part of the band at the time they recorded this album. If he had been part of the recording process this album could have gone down as a legend. The drummer, but just like the previous album he doesn't really do anything to stand out. For me, Warrel Dane's amazing lyrics more than make up for the somewhat mediocre instrumentals. The overall recording quality is a significant step up from the last album as well, which is very much appreciated. My top three tracks on the album are "Epitaph", "Mirror Black" and "One More Murder". I'm really glad Sanctuary never gave into their record label's pressuring to become more like the then popular grunge rock bands. For those of you who liked these guys and want more, check out Warrel Dane's/JeffLommis'/Jim Sheppard's band Nevermore.

Thank God for itunes. The last time i heard this was on cassette, about 17 years ago! This album is a must for classic thrashers. Soaring vocals, wicked sols and pounding drums, you couldn't ask for anything more. Download NOW!
This is one of my favorites

Any metalhead should know all about this album, because it just rocks. Future Tense, Taste Revenge, Communion, are the best songs but you will like all of them.
Possibly even better the the first album.

Amazing album, Warell Dane (now vocalist for Nevermore) proves he is one of Metal's best ever vocalists. Great songs on this album that should not go missed by any one who calls themself a metalhead.
