Heard Yebbas song Distance on Season 5 episode 10 of Insecure. There are not many times that a song can stop me in my tracks. Distance gives this sweet nostalgic sound of the 70s. I could imagine the iconic Minnie Rippleton singing this. I had to purchase Yebbas entire album. Love to find artists who can pull you in . ❤️

This album is a soulful, eclectic, and experimental collection of words and sounds that describe what I can only imagine is Yebba’s recent experiences with grief and growth - things most of us can connect with on a very deep level. Her vocals are nuanced and flawless and even more impressive is that she can probably sing every one of these songs better live. I look forward to more from Yebba, but for now I’m happy to listen to this several (hundred) more times

I stumbled across Yebba, I’m not going to lie I can’t think of an artist today that can tell a story so hauntingly beautiful. She’s a real super star!
