I always liked Mark Isham's earlier synthesizer + trumpet work, but would never have considered it "jazz." More ambient. But this album is not only jazz, it's GREAT jazz. If you're in the mood for a cooler flavor of jazz, this ranks right up there, just below Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" album in my spin list.

OF A THOUSAND JAZZ ALBUMS..BY FAR ONE OFTHE BEST AND MOST ACCESSIBLE TO NON-JAZZ FOLKS...DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. BUY IT...LISTEN TO IT...YOU'LL LOVE IT. HE IS A GREAT COMPOSER AS IS WITNESSED BY THE NUMBER OF MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS HE DOES SO ELOQUENTLY.
