This band is not my usual genre. That said, I found them through the YouTube shuffle of recommendations leading me to Hypa Hypa. As a fan of the 80's I was pleasantly surprised, then shellshocked, then hovering over the back button debating whether to leave or give the song a chance, and then I noticed how downright ridiculous the video was. The past week has been a glorious revel of watching other people discover this gem. I have only one complaint about this album and it won't affect my 5* rating or prevent me from recommending it to others. What could that be? No music video. I have other albums from iTunes that contain music videos that I honestly couldn't care less about, and have to remove from my playlists so they don't hijack my screen when they play, but I am legitimately saddened by its omission from this album. As great as the rest of the covers' videos are, and how absolutely fantastic it would be to have all of them, at least the original should have been included. Regardless, I am now a fan of this band. Hate/Love is also a great song and video, but if they never released the video for Hypa Hypa I probably wouldn't have jumped in the rabbit hole and learned more about them. I now know that they are amazing musicians, extremely self-reliant, and goofy people who enjoy what they do. I support this band and am recommending them to many people.
