It’s weird because I am a gamer , purchased this to make a larger playlist of the original club music from the 90s versions and to mix in three songs that were not credited to Stabbing Westward in the 95 movie soundtrack. So I added those and make a fun playlist lasting 1 hour 55 min total 31 songs. What I find in this 2020 score album is that Benjamin Wallfisch has many elements within the structure of the music that remind me very much of Martin O’Donnell & Michael Salvatori’s HALO score and soundtracks ; whereas the game Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate has many elements and structure that remind me of Kevin Riepl & Steve Jablonsky & Jacob Shea’s GEARS OF WAR score and soundtracks. Although, the 2020 score / soundtrack is good I cannot but be reminded of other music from other artists. Is that making it not original and just redeveloped technique??????? I do not know ……you decide.

I’ve been playing mortal kombat games since I was little watching the 1995 movie 100s of times And being the “ average audience member” and also “nostalgic Fanbase”. I think the soundtracks are good better then most video game movies I like the Touch of techno here and there. And the 2021 version of the theme song aka the ending credits is a great remix,there are better versions on YouTube but this is a great I can see this playing in a arcades. I really hope this movie does great so we can get more, Since usually they do better when it comes to soundtracks with sequels All in all I like it and want more

This is labeled a soundtrack when really it is a score. People are comparing it to two amazing soundtracks from the original movies. This movie did not have a true soundtrack, but rather a score like 300 or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It should be judged fairly in a category it really falls in.

This is Benjamin on auto pilot, I was so excited for this and it’s just a bunch of electronic droning sounds. The only few good tracks are hanzo, I am scorpion and we fight as one. Sub zero has a terrible theme that’s not even menacing or recognizable. All around just a massive disappointment and that’s not including the atrocious techno syndrome rendition

Mortal Kombat soundtrack was so impressive. Both the score and various artists soundtracks were so good. Too bad neither are downloadable on iTunes.
