I love Kevin Gates!!! Every song is pressure🤞🏾 He does no wrong in my eyes!!!

Doing the thang the way it’s supposed to be done.

As a lady I will say: I respect Mr. Gates very much. Not only in his music does he show that is totally uncut and says it completely how it is (through his eyes), The way he makes it all come together and sound good yet lyrically is beautifully written. We all have our different styles and preferences, but as a fan of rap music for many years his music stands out as one of the few in my collection that I can listen to..over and over every single track. Though his story is far from one I can relate to, I appreciate the authenticity of his position. Appreciating the differences in one another, is a skill that more of us need to acquire in order to respect the struggle of others. This type understanding can be a a door to being more relatable, and having more love for others. I probably had in mind a different type of review to write here. I had in mind a better more specific one on the quality of these tracks. However, after reading another persons review critiquing Gates for talking of violence and disrespect.... I got real angry. Not everyone songs are about rainbows and butterflies!! It’s not everyone’s story to tell. Don’t bash another for being real. If your concern is violence, drugs and gangs… Then properly parent your children and monitor their activity. Don’t take it out on those that speak the truth of their story. Their stories are not necessarily for our young children to listen to. But a lot of us love this music and appreciate it’s authenticity. A lot of us appreciate the fire we here when we listen to it. And if you wrote a negative review on this album.. don’t be a hater. You’re a fan. If you weren’t you wouldn’t have purchased it and had the ability to write a review. So on behalf of Kevin gates thank you for your purchase either way. Ha! Xoxoxo
