Like Mastodon did in the past, Gojira finally refined themselves with riffs that have great hooks. Best album out so far from Gojira in my opinion

Not that this particularly matters, but Im a huge Christian and I love this band so so so so so so much. It’s so uplifting and encouraging unlike most of Metal, and I genuinely appreciate it. So you may wonder, mysterious internet stranger, how did I find out about this band? Let me tell you
I was in a cafe just vibing to music, you know. And one day, I’m like “I’m gonna listen to Gojira, I hear awesome things about them”. So I’m sipping coffee, and I play this album. The first song plays, and I don’t like it. So then I play Amazonia. I hear the intro and I kinda nod my head. THEN BAM! Like a lightning bolt, the gutairs just kicks in. Then the guy starts scream singing about the Amazon Rainforest. The vocals are surprisingly pleasant for screams. THEN I play New Found. First 4 minutes are okay i guess, then the song ends…. or so I think. DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN the riff immediately gets me almost head-banging. After that experience, I officially have become a Gojira fan. Later, The Trails play and it becomes the song I play when I’m out chillin in the woods. Now I geek out about this album whenever music gets brought up

This album is fine. Its not Gojiras worst but it isn’t their best when compared to albums like From Mars to Sirius and Way of All Flesh. Still a good album and I will recommend it to Gojira and overall metal fans.

I was the driver for the Slipknot Gojira Volbeat show close to St Louis, I was confident, yeah i have been there before, i missed the turn for the venue, WE HEARD GOJIRAS LAST SONG FROM THE PARKING LOT. My heart was broken, I have been to so many shows, and i messes this up....Well at least i seen Volbeat and definatelhy Slipknot.... Was still a little disappointed in my human self
