Sit quietly, listen, comprehend the lyrics, feel the guitar, the anguish in the voice. This album will move you
The truly final cure masterpiece...at least for now

Always loved the cure have everything released from three imaginary boys to 4:13 dream with a couple exceptions. I did have wild mood swings however I could not stomach that one the only thing good about that release was a few of the b sides. The last two releases have a few good points but have yet to captivate me as others such as disintegration, kiss me kiss me kiss me, pornography, wish and blood flowers. Blood flowers is one of those rare albums that I can put in and listen to from the beginning to the end without at any time loosing interest or getting bored. In my opinion it is almost like an extension of disintegration blended with wish. I hope that they will someday release another great album such as these. Maybe someday

Absolutely one of the most beautifully orchestrated piece of art I've ever listened to. I bought this album back in like 2001 and still to this day it chills me to my core. It may take awhile to appreciate this masterpiece but it will grow on you like ivy up a dilapidated brick wall, but once it starts to grow upon you it will forever be with you.

My only problem with this album, it only has 9 songs. If it had 3 more, it would have been their best album since "Disintegration.''
I've really tried...

To like this album, but it evokes absolutley no response from me whatsoever. There is really nothing wrong with this release, but nothing to recommend it either. Just sort of flat.

As a hardcore Cure fan since 1985, it pains me to only give Bloodflowers two stars. I was excited about this release back in 2000. But after listening to it I found it dreadfully dull, only a few songs really rising above the mediocre. If feels like a half hearted attempt to regain the greatness of Disintegration (their best album), but falls far short of the mark. This is one album that I simply do not listen to other than the occasional visit to Watching Me Fall, The Last Day of Summer and the title track.

I think this album is simply amazing. I love it. Its not a happy go lucky album. I prefer it to all of their pop. Grab a cold cold beer, and fly with it.
