In a world of super hero stories and ongoing chaos, Wrekonize has managed to end an arc grounded in reality like no other artist before.
Pressure Point delivers on the everlasting story of diving into one’s own psyche to gain perspective of the surrounding world. Tracks such as “Low Water”, “Zombies”, and “Lights Off” highlight those trivial thought processes that one may find themselves engaging in during this day and age. While tracks such as “Oakland”, “Call For My Name”, and “Man Under the Bridge” bring forth a focus to topics only found in the truly deep subconscious.
As a stand-alone album, Pressure Point brings a different side of Wrekonize not yet heard on any of his other albums. While some parts of the album may seem out of place with one another to the average listener, taking a deeper perspective along with fellow cues from Dr. Chosis, you can tell Pressure Point was constructed with a unifying goal of telling a captivating story.
Pressure Point really shines when you understand that it concludes an arc that started with 2013’s The War Within and was expanded with 2017’s Into the Further. With each album you dive deeper and deeper fully immersing yourself into Wrekonize’s world.
