Tijuana Jazz

The album is unique for a couple of reasons. While the TJB albums up to this point had the Wrecking Crew on it for the most part, with some of the TJB touring group sitting in here and there, this album was the first to have the actual touring band doing the album, and it sounds like an actual band. Secondly, this was the closest to being an actual jazz recording than in the past, with some actual solos here and there, such as Alpert's solo on the opener "Our Day Will Come". There were three Top 40 hits - "The Work Song", "Mame" and "Flamingo". This is a strong album from start to finish.
