Heather is an old friend of my Mother. Met her when I was six and got three of her CD's since! Inishalla(sp) isn't on here though...I love theses songs ! Guess what my next album purchase will be?

Heather Alexander is a familiar name to fantasy fans, Renfaire-goers and filkers all along the west coast, and with good reason, as this album shows! Wanderlust was her first solo album after her old band Phoenyx broke up; though it shows its age -- Heather's skills have only improved in the 12 years since this album -- this album still has some of my favorite of her songs. "Wanderlust," "Neverland," and "Storyteller" are wonderful, and there are few drinking songs to compare with "Pour Your Brother!" While Enchantment -- the first album from her new band, Uffington Horse -- is in many ways a better-rounded album, Wanderlust is still a wonderful introduction to Heather Alexander. Unfortunately, her best-known song -- March of Cambreadth -- is on Midsummer rather than this album.

I (like many others) discovered Heather Alexander before her music was on iTunes... Don't miss out of this wonderful treat! Heather's songs are wonderful songs full of story and heart, ranging from fun and upbeat to the poinant and emotion, I can't recommend her music more!

My friend from a medieval reenactment society introduced me to Heather's music, saying it was very popular among their 'bards'. I wasn't able to find it in iTunes at the time, though. Glad to see I can acquire a little to add to my repertoire for the next campfire I sit at.
