The Last Album

Pretty bad to troll Keith Jarrett about this album, considering it will be his last, and that he's revealed he had a stroke and won't be playing concerts anymore. So now you know he's been making music despite poor health. And to say he's imitating himself, well, art is about finding one's voice, and he found it has kept unlocking what's there. I'm grateful for the body of work he's left us with from all of the years of playing.

I agree with Mr. Taut. There hasn’t been much spark coming from Keith Jarrett for a long time. I still consider him my favority musician of all time, but the lightness and dexterity he exhibited in the 70s is long gone. There are beautiful moments to be sure, and I do not regret adding this to my collection of his music, but I'd say you have to be pretty deep into his thrall to be inspired by this.
Love this song.

For many years now, you haven't heard anything creative or new about him. It's always the same old story: Here is Keith Jarrett, he's jingling and moaning for you. Jarrett only imitates himself.
