Reviews

  • Great band. iTunes mismarked songs.

One of the great pop bands of the 80s. Great song writing. Can’t believe they went largely unnoticed. Careful of this iTunes download. Most of the songs are mismarked. Here are the real names of tracks I know of: 4. Mark Came Home 7. Feel Right Now 9. Relatives 16. Really Blind Faith Keep in mind that the songs under the above titles are also mismarked.

Pop Art was one of my all time favorite bands. (If any of you guys ever read this, hi, and thanks!). These are some finely crafted pop tunes (I mean that in the best sense of "pop" - truly "pop art," like Crowded House, Squeeze, etc.) which made my adolescence just a bit more fun. I think there were 4-5 albums by the time they wrapped it up, and this compilation has all my favorite songs, (except one - but I still have the vinyl!). Check out "Cover Me," "Mark Came Home," "Roommates," and the most beautiful tunes here, "Four Long Days," and "Relatives." (Note the typo on iTunes). Dave Steinhart, one of three brothers in this group, has gone on to do some good solo work and has recorded some fine work with a new band, Smart Brown Handbag.
