Amazing Soundtrack, but the only song that I would like is the Barbarian Horde. Why, why, why is this "album only?'

As always, Hans and Lisa Gerrard, among others, were able to craft a truly epic and beautiful score.
  • Was hoping for more

It’s nice to see these albums together in one place for people who don’t own them already but if you’re going to have a special re-release, do something to make it special. For example, take the unnecessary dialogue out of the music so I can listen to it by itself like I’ve always wanted to. Also, put the music in order and make a proper special edition album.

I was really hoping for new tracks of previously unreleased music, instead we got the original soundtrack and the “more music from Gladiator” (which was released a short time after the original in the late 90’s) just lumped together. There’s nothing new and they kept the cheesy movie dialogue tracks. I’m sure Intrada or LaLaLand Records will make a properly expanded soundtrack available at some point...
  • Such a disappointment for a "20th Anniversary"!

Don´t get me wrong, I love Hans Ziimmer´s score for Gladiator, it´s been one of my favorites since I firts saw the film 20 years ago, it´s beautiful, dramatic, haunting, bombastic and exciting. Still there was a lot amazing music from the film that was left out and has never seen the light of day, excepet on some bootleg editions. The problem with this "20th Anniversary Edition" is that it is nothing spectacular, nothing that we haven´t heard before, we´ve all heard these tracks over, and over, and over again for years. First they release this tracks on separate albums, (With pieces of dialogue and stuff that was pretty annoying), then they released the same 2 albums in one CD back in 2005, which added nothing new to the mix, no new unrealeased or alternate tracks, just the same old thing. An now, for a spectacular "20th Anniversary" they release the same albums again?!! It´s really disappointing, feels like a joke. Where are all the unreleased tracks?! Where´s a true 40 something tracks special edition with ALL the music from Gladiator?! They did a great disservice to an amazing film and a wonderful score with this. Honestly, they could´ve done a much, much better and spectacular job.
