This album is more industrial rock as opposed to the debut’s more alternative sound, which means it has less in common with a record like Rise or Awake. “Dive Over In” thrives on a good groove and is by far the hardest song on the album, “Suspended in You” is deliriously infectious and recalls Love Liberty Disco-era Newsboys, “Locked in a Cage” manages to be pleasant as well as rockin’, “Take” repeats the infectiousness of “Suspended in You” only without the Newsboys similarity, and “More Faithful” and “Coming Down” will leave you wondering what went wrong with Skillet 12 years later. Skillet fan or Skillet detractor, listen to this album!
