  • Ugh. I'm confused.

Its frustrating to patiently wait for new material from a favorite band or group, and then.... this. I get that creative people want to experiment and try new things (I'm one of them), but I don't even recognize this. I guess I'll wait another two years for the music we all grew to love. Or, maybe I'll just move on.

Looking back at RAC's previous albums this one doens't hit it out of the park. The really catchy, melodic pop tunes we have been blessed with before just won't appear this time. Apart from the obvious single release Stuck On You nothing sticks. Even the guest vocalists have hardly any character this time around - though it's hardly their fault. I guess it's back to the drawing board for RAC and we can still enjoy the older releases.
  • Bland from start to finish

They should have cut the number of songs in half and focused on song quality. What a boring album from start to finish. This is not the RAC I really like.
  • Warm, lots of throwback influences

Lots of throwback influences on this album with some great collaborations, with a mix of both old and new. Overall, the entirety of the album does have a lot of warmth and a very mellow vibe all through out. My feeling might change after few more listens but initial impressions after listening through the entire album a few times have been positive with some memorable tracks. “Passion”, a song that was done in collaboration with Louis The Child is the one that stands out the most to me.

There is absolutely nothing here that resembles anything I love(d) about RAC. Just sad.
