I’m so happy getting a new album before I’ve exhausted all the nuances of “Reverberations 4.” Any Clean Tears album with the word “Reverberations” in the title is pure sonic awesomeness, and the follow up is always a softer, more relaxing listening experience...but not this time. “Lily” is easily as good as any Reverberations album but with the power dialed down just a little. The album opens with “Air,” a majestic tune reminiscent of “Angraceum” from “Reverberations 3” before detouring into a series of pop sounding numbers. The trance is back on with “Electric City,” and “Everlastingly” is the big trance anthem, in the flavor of “Inverse Relation.” But don’t forget the title track, both original and remix. Now I have a lot of beautiful new music to listen to during the four or six or nine months until the next one.
