Not really familiar with his music in general. Heard a few of his songs here and there over the years. Couple of pieces on this album really touched my heart (Separation and Tecie). I’ll certainly be digging into his previous work.

Not into this one, was hoping for a killer album but it just goes nowhere. Hard pass.

First off we I want to thank Moby for giving us such a beautiful piece of work at a time when we really need some solace and escape. Front to back, track to track this Album doesn’t disappoint, he really put his heart and soul into this. I’ve been a Moby fan since “Go” and at times he has wandered (as most true artists do) and some of his work was not my taste but I always respected his artistry. This album is all me and I’m so stoked he put this out at this time. “Power is taken” is a siren song and has a serious message about what it’s going to take....best $9.99 you’ll ever spend on a lush, gorgeous powerful piece of art!

My thoughts: this collection is pretty good and will grow on me I think. It reminds me of Destroyed album a bit and on first listens this is his best album since that one. Lots of vintage moby strings throughout always a good thing. I much appreciated the classic house elements and thumping kick drums (also bongos are back!). My only love sounds very reminiscent of “light is in your eyes” off baby Monkey and is the stand out. Lots of songs that stretch out and develop slowly I love that. Mixing is still a problem however, big string washes often dampen all the instruments around them. Vocoder is back and I wish that effect was retired. Not sure about some of the vocals I might prefer the instrumental versions if we are lucky enough to get them. All that being said It’s a good outcome - 7/10 - purchased!

The Moby early days we all miss so much the sounds of great 90s rave.
