I love this album so please don’t stop 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧

One of their better recent albums

At this point, it would be naive for any Weezer fan to expect the band to make some sort of intriguing artistic statement. The last five or six albums are the sound of a band that has nothing to prove, which is okay unless you couple it with zero ambition to progress in any way. The sad thing is that the guitar parts are good enough to have maybe made a decent album. But like the previous ones, it sounds like the music got overly polished in the mixing stage. As a result, what might have sounded grounded and authentic is cleaned up by a producer who evens out all the rough edges with a laptop. Look no further than Japandroids' Near to the Wild Heart of Life for an example of a producer complimenting a band that plays the style of rock that Weezer has kept alive.

Idc what the haters say, this is a good album.

I love Weezer, but I have listened to this album a bunch of times and none of the tracks really stand out at all. Couldn't hum you a single one, which is a shame because they are kings of catchy tunes. A real shame. It's not bad, but it sure ain't good.
