Finch

Two and a half songs in, Andy and Kyle have seemingly found their stride. With “Eloise” distancing musically from the simple clarity of ‘Duet’ or melodic dissonance of ‘Honest Wage.’ It is dope! How in tarnation does one fit, “a meaning well American abattoir” into a song!?! (Don’t feel bad if you had to search the definition. I’ll bet Andy had to!) “Don’t wanna be without ya” is a song that one would think was put out by Rusted Root after watching Ice Age. Of course once you pay attention to the words, you find a sentimental, committed love that yearns for more days than anyone is given. Good stuff. Thus far, my thought for these 3 songs is the same thoughts I have faced with their catalogue... It’s not how many notes you play, but how you play them. Musically very refreshing, melodically well placed, and lyrically engaging. Music you can study or songs you can hum. Well done! Can’t wait for Finch!
