Sting, My Songs

Hey, I’m giving him five stars. The cat is a true performer and he doesn’t need all of the “auto-tune” mess that you hear in the bubblegum crop that seems to be the norm plus each song tells a story as a song should.
Sounds phenomenal with superb recording

I don’t understand any bad reviews. This album has a different sound than the original versions of his songs. It’s mostly live- very fun. Sting’s voice is rich and beautiful. Album is worth every penny. I’d pay more for what this music offers.
C'mon Sting, you can surely do better than this..!

Come on Sting, Stop wasting your fans time. If you’re bored, please just retire. This album is filled with rehashed and poor covers of songs that were great the first time around. The title of this alum should read "I Can't Write 'em Like I use Too".
I love Sting, but...

I don’t know. This is so unneeded. When the songs aren’t awkwardly electronic and “modern” versions of the originals, they are attempted carbon copies. The “new” versions of Demolition Man and Message in a Bottle are decent, but I would just listen to the live versions of these exact arrangements from The Best of 25 Years album, anyways. These versions don’t have balls. The live material on here is good, though.
Fresh take on classics

Not just a compilation of hits but a fresh energized take on Sting’s classics. Sting revisits his music and merges them with different genres often, and this one takes a generally upbeat route. These are not as radically different as Sting’s orchestral versions and they may not be different enough to compel some fans to warrant a purchase, however they are nicely rearranged and a good listen. They of course will never replace the originals. In addition there are also some live versions that I suspect every fan will be happy to hear. Except for the snobby entities cretins complaining about an album no one is forcing them to buy. The same fans that complain he doesn’t do enough original stuff anymore yet he just released an album last year and one just before that. The same whiners that complain he doesn’t take enough chances but has tried his hand at other genres and offbeat collaborations like his recent one with Shaggy. Enjoy the album, or don’t. But settle down.
Sounds horrible

I was a huge Police fan back in the day. They played really well together and their music was phenomenal. This is pathetic. Sounds like a bad karaoke version. I will stick to listening to the recordings from the 70s and 80s.
