I became a fan when I heard “Exit Theme”. I didn’t buy entire Sadistik albums though. There are very few albums that I can listen to from start to finish without skipping as the artist intended. “Haunted Gardens” is now in that rarified air. Already a complete lyricist and lyrically Sadistik leveled up on this latest project. Pure frisson—aesthetic chills. His subject matter/deep lush lyrics painted onto the masterfully selected downbeat canvas brings it all together to perfection. When Sadistik, Lupe Fiasco, and Aesop Rock quit I am done with hip hop. Cody Foster aka Sadistik, very simply put, thank you.
