I almost doesn’t buy this album due to some of the negative reviews. Glad I didn’t listen to the grump-a-saurs out there. Awesome album. Been listening to MWS since I was kid and this album doesn’t disappoint. He was brilliant then and he’s brilliant now.
It’s a praise and worship album folks. Praise and worship is different than contemporary Christian. If you don’t like P&W then don’t buy P&W albums. I like both. If you do too, you will like this album.
Anyway, my whole family loves this album. More awesomeness from MWS! Two thumbs up! 👍🏼👍🏼

Surrounded Again

This album should be called “Surrounded Again”. It features mostly the same songs of the Surrounded album, released just about a year before.
Including the song ‘Fight My Battles’’, with its only two verses... one repeated 36 times and the other 12 times.
I love MWS, but this is not the kind of album I expect from him.
Pass.

Awesome worship. Heaven resounds with praise.
Doesn’t matter how many times a song has been recorded,
The Lord is greatly to be praised.
These songs take us into the very intimate presence of the Lord
Really good

I noticed something in common with the reviews showing one or two stars. You want to be entertained and just like Russel Crowe in Gladiator you throw that sword with “I’m not entertained”
This is worship music and it’s not to entertain but to lift up the name of the Lord.
Smitty always great but…

I agree with so many of the reviews here. I have been listening to Smitty since 1985. I have seen him in concert so many times I can’t begin to remember how many. I think this album is wonderful just like any album he puts out. He could sing the phonebook and I would like it so they say. But I so miss the old school stuff. Last summer I saw him at a church just after the two new albums came out and we were so disappointed at how few songs he sang from the pop record. A few months later we saw him at a Christian festival .. we were so hopeful that he would do more pop there because of the predominately young crowd. But once again 95% praise and worship. I know it sounds horrible but I just wanted so bad to see him perform pop the way he did during the “go west” era. I don’t expect anyone to run around like a madman the way he did when he was in his 30s but just to do a pop concert would be amazing in my eyes. I love the entire 1 million lights album… I would love to see a tour supporting that album!
An amazing album

The worship on this is phenomenal. Waymaker goes in. I can’t stop listening to that, because He is!
