A real Power Rock Gem

Wow I remember when this first came out. "Jelly Roll" was the biggest hit off this album and played frequently on the old MTV channel when it used to be about music. There are some other classics like "Sex Child" and "Valley of the Kings". Whitesnake's lead singer David Coverdale literally fired the entire band after their big comeback album. John Sykes who had been their lead guitarist basically took what was left of the band along with bass player Tony Franklin and with help from drummer Carmine Appice to form Blue Murder. This album was basically the high fist to Coverdale. Sykes is definitely one of the most highly underrated singer songwriters as well as a fantastic guitar player. They unfortunately came out at a time when the music scene was rapidly changing at the end of the 80's with Rap coming into it's own and Grunge rock starting up it was a challeging time even for established rock bands. Great album, buy this if you appreciate power rock at it's best you will not be disappointed!
