George Strait is a legend who is known for bringing and keeping pure country at the forefront. Backing him is one of the tightest country bands that is a legend its own right. This album contains some of the biggest hits he has done. This disc captures the energy and raw real country music. It is the next best thing to going to see him in concert. On a personal note: this album is the first of Strait’s to feature Mike Kennedy (RIP) on drums. As a drummer myself, I will say I had found one of the few drummers who really knew how to “season” a song with the way he knew how and where to put extra little fills and hits all throughout each song. If you’re a drummer who loves to play this type of music, you’ll enjoy his playing!
