Deserved the Grammy!

Incarnate of the singer-songwriter trope. Sara Bareilles’ previous albums shined with her sole songwriting, but this effort capitalized on collaboration. Jack Antonoff (from the band fun.) and Mark Endert’s (Fiona Apple’s Tidal) contributions add pop sensibilities that brighten the record. John O’Mahoney and Sara’s own efforts add a necessary bitterness that build the need for strength. Luckily, Bareilles’ writing and vocals deliver strength to serve another day!

The only good song on Sara’s album is Brave. The others are…. Ok. Make more songs with lyrics like Brave, Sara!

Yes, I said that. And yes, it's true. This album is stunning. The lyrics are rich and vivid and clever and Sara has done an incredible job of weaving stories and pouring out emotions in the most gorgeous way on this album. Every song on this album speaks to me. Sara just has that ability to get right at your heart. Unbelievable album that is totally timeless for me. ❤️
the best album ever

the first thing I’m wondering is why is there only 6 reviews, this album was nominated by the grammys for album of the year. every single track on this album takes risks, and they pay off very well, and the placement of the tracks really compliments them, I really encourage you to purchase this album as it is the greatest thing to ever exist. favorite track(s): 1000 Times, Eden
