    I seem to prefer the McCartney albums where he (and in this case, his band) just sounds like he’s mucking about.

    I’ll start off by saying that I’m a huge lifelong fan of McCartney, ever since I was a child. I’ve had the good luck to grow up in the 70’s when most of his great albums with Wings or Paul McCartney & Wings or Paul & Linda McCartney were released. But this is the only album of his that I won’t touch. Just can’t get into this & believe me I’ve tried, really tried but nothing on this just doesn’t do it for me. His version of Mickey & Sylvia’s “Love is Strange” is horrendous! But then again with most of our favorite artists, I’m sure each of us has an album from them that we’ll never like, no matter what. Well this happens to be that one from McCartney. Thanks but no thanks.
