Asia’s debut 1982 album is exquisitely identical to what I dream music would sound like. I feel as if being transported to a fantasyland every time I listen to one of these nine masterpieces that are forevermore to be staples in the pop/progressive rock genre of music and easily the industry as a whole! It is a rare occurrence for an album to have no bad or mediocre songs, even from the most talented of bands over the years, however, Asia defied the odds and blew away everybody’s expectations, making them look like chicken feed. It is probably one of the greatest accomplishments in music history and it nevertheless deserves every bit of acclaim it gets and then some!

This is one of those albums you buy because of the cool album art and then discover what amazing music was on it! Wetton, Palmer, Downes and Howe, a Super Group by every definition. The songs were fun, the music was tight and it sounded absolutely huge. This is the one Asia album everyone should own. There’s not a bad song on it at all. Enjoy!
