Sting has always been a constant from my earliest memories, w/music as a hodgepodge of creative outlets in my home growing up w/my dad in the industry, it (šŸŽ¹)was my 1st language & Iā€™ll be a lifelong student/conversationalist. Of my top 10 fave male musicians & artists w/in my lifetime, he certainly is at the top of what I look for w/in a ā€œcareerā€ or catalog of compositionsā€¦& was really happy to see/hear his performance at MSG when I was in collegešŸ„°ā£ļø W/1992 being my favorite, 1 of 2 yrs in šŸŽ¶ , again within my lifetime (imo), this is 1 of 2 very good albums that bookend this yr for me by Sting. I think this album has many songs that are pop-radio friendly or say might have greater mass appeal. But 2 songs, ā€œFields of Goldā€ & ā€œShape of My Heartā€ leave a well-crafted mark for me personally. Oh, for those that like ā€œShape of My ā¤ļøā€ā€¦it happens to be the end/credits song for the 1994 film ā€˜The Professionalā€™ dir. Luc Besson,šŸ’«Jean Reno, Natalie Portman (~12/14yo?), Gary Oldman & Danny Aiello.

What a musical and lyrical genius. I can get lost in his albums- Nothing Like the Sun, The Soul Cages, and Mercury Falling along with this one.
