Few could match the hit machine the Carpenters were in the 70’s with their lush melodies and more than accomplished songwriting. Though much is now known as time has moved forward since Karen’s death about her personal and working relationship with her brother there can be no doubt that their music has touched so many people for so many years and will continue to for those who need to hear such an angelic voice matched with superior musical composition.

They were putting out beautiful music that made everyone happy to be alive. Poor Karen passed so young and left us wanting more.

I don't think many people are aware of just how powerful a voice Karen Carpenter was and their string of Top Ten Hits in the mid to late '70''s (my favorite era) are matched by very few.. Appreciate them they;re a big part of our musical tapestry...
