The first few tracks are pretty rad, then it all gets weird.
Everything goes all alt-rock for a bit, tempo drops, Damien all but disappears. Then it gets all chill for a bit, but not in a good way.
Then it gets all low rent industrial for a few tracks, finish it off with crappy alt rock.
Prob shoulda known something was amiss when the track listings had a bunch of “featuring” peoples in the title.
I don’t know what to make of it. Deff not what I expected. I don’t think it will grow on me. First 4 tracks are pretty excellent tho. The drop off is astounding. I’m sure how you could tour this record. Maybe Damien has a hammock offstage that he sleeps in for half the show now?
