I know the distorted sound is intentional and meant to give it that old school feel but it ends up distorting Jade’s incredible voice in the process. The song has great chord changes and harmonies but you cant really “feel” it because of that artistic distortion that I feel should have been left out. I’m sure there’s other amazing songs on the album that showcase her clean powerful voice and melodic runs, which makes me wonder why this song was picked as her single. My 2 pennies.
