“My Ancestor’s Gift” is a powerfully emotional journey from one track to the next. Simon’s ability to capture the past yet give us hope for the future seems to be personal for the composer, yet universal for the listener. The genres that are represented on this album are incredibly widespread which not only highlights the versatility of the composer, but brings forth a diverse audience to enjoy this music. This album is truly a culturally enriching and musically compelling monumental masterpiece- looking forward to hearing more works by this composer.
