I was in the audience during the recording of this performance at the Healdsburg Jazz Festival, and it was simply magical. Anat and Fred seemed to be of one mind, weaving in and out of the other's lines or comping tastefully, always reaching for more. The music-making was intense and joyful. The recording captures it beautifully.
