I heard him play live in Kalamazoo and headed straight home to buy his albums. He has mastery of the saxophone to the point that he can do whatever he wants, and what comes out is so rhythmic and original. Great album.

Donny is a prodigy on the sax. When he plays, you are hearing someone who is doing what they were born to do. Completely in his element, humble, powerful and intuitive. This is the sound of art.

I really would'nt have known about Donny McCaslin if I didn't meet him at a Jazz Festival. I took a saxophone clinic under his instruction and he is Awsome. I heard him live! This music is fantastic, and, it is great if you are studying to be a Jazz musician. I find myself listening to it all the time. Great Job Donny!
