I became a big fan of Kimbra when her debut album, Vows, came out. That album had some amazing tracks – Plain Gold Ring, Settle Down, Good Intent, among others – with great horn sections.
This album isn't anything like Vows. All of the tracks sound like a million other generic looping pop songs, like the ones you hear before a movie starts at the movie theatre.
Nothing memorable.
She doesn't realize why her first album was so good. It's a shame.

Love it, I bought the vinyl and it's especially impressive in full-quality w/ great speakers & a sub. Has more "pop" type songs (not American pop) than I expected, but from cool beats to experimental tracks to moving lyrics- she's great... again. Kimbra is a true music artist, not a celebrity parading around as if they were one, and it's nice to see she just doesn't repeat a formula but offers something new with each album (yes-album, not just a bunch of songs on a disc ). Go KIMBRA!

I’ve gotten hard copies of each of Kimbra’s CD’s. Each is a different adventure, but in ever song is Kimbra, and I can’t get enough.
