  • The Fellas - Melissa Manchester

This brilliant new release by Melissa Manchester features her own unique style and vocals on a collection inspired by and paying tribute to"The Fellas" including tunes made famous by such industry legends as Mathis, Sinatra, Bennett, King Cole, Kelly & Torme. The arrangements, orchestra, and players enhance the mood of the tunes while Melissa's delivery, inflection and musical choices here make this a must have. She continues to do it all...rock, pop, swing, jazz raising the bar for whatever comes next. Bravo. Thanks for continuing to bring excellence and lyric driven tunes to the world consciousness. A True Gem. Five Stars. mary parrotto

Melissa is in fine voice here, hard to believe almost thirty years have passed between tribute albums, the first, "Tribute," was released in 1989 directed at the ladies and whomever the mastering engineer was he understood sonics because that cd with all it's levels sounds like it was released just a few years ago. It's the boys turn and the arrangements are awesome. Not one bad track here, my only critique is this album as a whole clocks in at just 31 minutes. I dunno, maybe I didn't want it to end.
