Love Bowie. Remastering is EVIL!!!

In addition to the unlistenable remastering of most of the tracks, the omission of many classic (especially at this price) is unforgivable. Why Why WHY?!??
Unfortunately I bought ashes to ashes for a whopping $1.29 before realizing that, though it was the single version, it had been remuddled too, so I’ll never listen to it.
#*%! I HATE having to re-purchase so as to get the version I want. Do others not hear the difference? Makes me want to gouge my eyes out. And to add insult to injury, I’ve owned the vinyl for years—just wanted to get it onto my playlist quickly. Paying 3x bites;Grrrr. ok,rant complete.

FINE BUT NOT PERFECT

Pay close attention remaster masters to fix things like titles and details before charging 70 bucks for a download. Purchased songs from LODGER, all of which had the title LODGER (luckily I knew actual titles, except for spelling of Yassassin). Content is terrific, remix of LODGER worth its' weight in gold.
Song listing screwed up in iTunes

I actually really like the collection, but for some reason in my iTunes library, the song listing column only shows the album from which the song came, but not the actual song title. ie. Low Low Low Low Low Heroes Heroes Heroes Heroes Heroes Heroes etc. However, when loaded to my iPod and iPhone the song titles show up. Anybody else experience this? Know of a remedy?
The albums are amazing, but......

The remastering is a nightmare. The iTunes digital version is just terrible. I already got a refund. The record company have come out and ackonwledge they botched this. I would avoid buying or downloading until everything has been corrected. On Bowie's site it claims that this was "Mastered for iTunes", but I dont see any sign of that. Spoke with iTunes and they just gave me the runaround for multiple days - in the end got refunded.
Amazing

Thank you for this collection.
Great Period in Bowie's Career, but Rarities are Missing

Like others here, I rate the music on this set a very solid five stars, but I can't rate the digital set as a whole five stars because there are rarities missing. (I'm not rating this based on any of the materials included with the physical set because I'll never see them.) Don't get me wrong - the music alone makes me say "Just go ahead and take my money," but the previous two sets were so inclusive that I can't help feeling a tad disappointed. Isn't inclusiveness kind of the main reason for releasing Bowie's old material at this point? Bowie's stuff has been remastered and reissued over and over so many times. I personally want something that is definitive, not something where I'm still waiting for everything all in once place. Aside from that, the sound is great and you can't beat the price for so much material from a a high point in a legendary career.
Missing some...still ace...

I would also like to have had some more of the rare things in this set.
Still, this is great stuff.
Some of these tunes have been rare as can be.
Waiting so long,
I've been waiting so,
waiting so...
MISSING some rarities...

Bowie's music is always 5-star, but I'm giving this compilation only 3, because it's missing some awesome rare songs. Where are the songs "Some Are", "All Saints", "Abdulmajid", "I Pray, Ole", "Panic In Detroit '79 version", and "The Myth"??? Come on.

I am glad they are still releasing music despite his passing. May not have known him personally, but I sure do feel the loss! I look forward to this music as I have read so much in favor of so many tunes!
One of the greatest

It's such a great loss when we lose such an immense talent like Bowie. He was incredible.
