Jimmy Page ……

It was the storm surge that did the damage during hurricane Katrina …… Jimmy Page is the Force that provides the power and the Black Crowes are the surge that follows in his wake…… every REAL Zeppelin fan that listens to this album understands the force that the leader of the mighty Zeppelin brings to bear ……… 🤯

A#1: Anyone who thinks this sounds anywhere nearly as good as if sung by Robert Plant is deaf or lying. I don't know what happened to Robinson's voice, which was so good the first few years of the Crowes' recording career, but on this LP he's got about a three-note range. The band sounds okay, but just okay---like a very good cover band. Nothing beyond that. Page is clearly the standout. But it's only a step up from that awful albu he recorded with the gawdawful David Coverdale. If it ain't Page AND Plant, then it's second-tier at best.

With Led Zeppelin being blues infused rock and The Black Crowes being blues infused rock and Jimmy Page on guitar with the Crowes playing Zeppelin tunes, rock heaven would be the only way to describe this collaboration. Unless you had a time machine to take you back to a live Led Zeppelin show this was a surreal event if you were lucky enough to attend. If you weren’t you should feel luck this was captured and made available. Thor was looking out for you. Enjoy.

This is the full version for the US. The Japanese version has In the Light and Misty Mountain Hop (I still don’t know why they get more songs than the US, but whatever). In my opinion this is better than not having anything at all. So please take it out on iTunes and not on the band.

I bought this CD back in the 90's couldn't believe how good Chris sounded singing Zeppelin.
Page killed it too. Thaks for adding some tunes that weren't originally available.

This live album is outstanding. If you're a Zep fan this is a must. Robinson's vocals are great and the song selection is perfect. I'd like one more disc.
