It's even better in the original language

I like this album and would still give it 5-stars, but do yourself a favor and buy it in the original Norwegian / Faroese (?) language. The sheer raw power of some her songs like "I Tokuni" just cannot be translated into a different language - listen in both languages and judge for yourself. I would give the original version 10-stars if I could. And no, I don't speak any Norwegian or Faroese - I think that just enhances the experience.

Her voice is so ethereal and worldly. I don't speak her first language but that didn't stop me from listening to the original album. Grateful there is an English version now. Just as amazing and "Falling Free" is so raw and graceful.

I have been a fan of Eivør for a good while now. Though that may seem needless to point out, it feels as though a journey has been traveled alongside the artist when a fan has followed them throughout the developments in their musical career. Seeing an artist evolve over time brings a whole added layer of depth to appreciating their work.
This album is no different; in fact, "Slør" helps me to appreciate anew just how much talent and hard work Eivør really devotes to her music. I've felt this way before with previous album releases, but the point I'd like to stress is this: I don't see it often enough where musical artists make the effort to release their songs in more than one language. I have been very eagerly looking forward to the English release of this album so that I could appreciate this very aspect of Eivør's music. The original songs in Faroese were fantastic already. This release of "Slør" replenishes my love for Eivør's talent and I offer all of my best wishes for her and her future. Her music is truly an experience.
