This project immediately captivates the listener with its sweet, familiar rendition of the much-loved Replacements album. The production quality is absolutely pristine; the guitar tone is enchanting; and the guitar playing is as tender and moving as it gets. The Paul Westerberg songs are especially well done. This album is essential for any Replacements, Jimbo Mathus, or Eric Ambel fan.

As a fan of the Replacements, I gotta say I really enjoyed this version of Let It Be. This chill take on classic punk rock makes for a nice change of pace

Let It Be is my favorite Replacements record, by far, and I'm quite surprised at how much I enjoyed tis rendition. It's not punk, at all, but it does the melodies justice. Anyone that can make "Gary's Got a Boner" into a soft guitar track is alright in my book!

The thing I always loved about the Replacements was that, behind their punk attitude, Paul Westerberg & co. wrote songs with pretty melodies. Jimbo Mathus brings out the beauty in those melodies with his spare, bluesy acoustic guitar arrangements. A fine producer in his own right (Buddy Guy, Squirrel Nut Zippers, etc), JImbo turned over the production duties here to Eric Ambel, whose deft touch served the arrangements and the melodies perfectly. If you're a 'Mats fan, a blues fan, a guitar fan, or a Roscoe fan, you'll love it. If you're none of those things, well, I pity you.

A nice addition to the other albums they've been putting out. Nice to have playing in the background while I work.
