I enjoy john Cale's voice/version of hallelujah better than other artists. Imagine my disappointment about wasting money on this song. I have to skip over this song because of all the coughing throughout the song. I don't trust buying the other version as I fear we would have the same issue. I don't understand an artists that cares that little of their fans to pick the worse audience for their song. He should never released this one and found a better audience to utilize for this song. I will never trust buying any more of his music.
Beautiful song, irritating crowd

John Cale's version of this song is simple, beautiful and haunting. But there are several loud interruptions from whatever crowd this was recorded in front of, including a prominent and piercing whistle during the first verse. Very annoying.
