Original and eclectic...but a rehash

I used to have a hard copy of Sound Virus but I have lost it a while ago. Then I found Wood here on iTunes with a few new songs. I'm not sure which album came first, Passion or Sound Virus. . . but the two albums together are almost identical give or take two or three songs. Granted I love the Sneaker Pimps and Coldfeet Versions of Passion as well as Beat of my Heart but I'm really anxious to hear some more work. (probably the only one) I seriously would recommend Sound Virus, and the few songs on this album that aren't from Sound Virus to anyone who was looking for a little variation in their electronica. I deffinately think Nick Wood is worth some attention. I just don't want his next album to be called Tokyo Muscle

Rich sounds, ideas from a brilliant musician, producer, arranger, writer. One of Britain's greatest musical exports and Japan's best kept secrets!
Anything but pop...anything but Sneaker Pimps

To think this comes from one of the same minds that brought 6underground and Spin Spin Sugar makes this album quite confusing. Its an album of rather beautiful ethnic sounds, rich and earthy, then fed thru a synthisizer...almost cheapening the effect of the sound. Without the synth, this would have been a great (dare I say) easy listening album. I gave it a 3...see what u think.
