Kate Rusby is my new favorite artist.

There's nothing more to say than "How does one perfect perfection?"

It seems she can do no wrong. This album travels in a little bit outside of the Irish Folk genre… but I like it a lot.

I'm a fan of her work with less atmospheric production values; however the warm songwriting and simple beauty of the music push me past my hesitation. A truly lovely album.

I first listened to this album while taking a walk on a perfect early autumn evening. Listening to a new Kate Rusby album is one of those small moments which make me happy to be alive.

A stunning---stunning---record. Virtually everything Kate Rusby does is touched with excellence. But this latest outing is something quite special---the very best work she's done since "Underneath the Stars," some 13 years ago. The title track and "Night Lament" alone are worth the price of admission. Rusby's voice remains a treasure here--silvery clear, wondrously ethereal. A marvelously atmospheric wedding of moving lyric to luscious sound. A beautiful, beautiful album and an absolute "must buy" for any Rusby devotee. . . .
