Is there any singer/songwriter out there more overrated than this guy? I think not. Listen, people, do yourselves a favor: buy the entire Elliot Smith catalog and throw away ALL of your Conor Oberst and Bright Eyes (stupid name, by the way) crap.

I keep reading reviews about this album and that it's about the court case/false allegations, but when I listen to it it seems more like someone betrayed him, someone close to him. My mind goes to infidelity because I've been there before and felt a lot like what is said in this album. Just throwing that out there. I think Conor is too good to be that upset about a fake rape allegation, to me this album points to something more.

If you loved Bright Eyes circa 98' to 05' you are in for a treat! Although these tracks are very stripped back, the emotions are stronger than ever. A must buy for any fan of the band or Conor.

One of the best albums of the last decade. The lyrical poetry and musical beauty leaves me breathless. Wow!

The most beautiful song i've heard in my entire life! Bravo Conor!! I love you, I love you, I love you!!!! The whole album is the most wonderful i've heard since the Bright Eyes days and infinitly more so!!!

This record is more powerful than anything I think I've heard in the past 5-7 years. It is Oberst's best songwriting since Cassadaga.

I honestly don't know if I could hear this man sing and play music and listen to it an unbiased way. The first time I saw him or heard his music was in 2001 at a small theater in Madison Wi. I fell hard and fast and have never been let down since. This album is no exception. This is now one of the many Conor albums that makes me want to get comfortable with a pair of headphones and sit back and listen to his poetry for hours on end...

Just amazing. He keeps getting better and better.
