I have the original BBC Sessions release on CD. The CD release is a bit better in sound quality after I did a side-by-side comparison. But having the extra tracks on the new BBC Sessions release was still worth picking up. In all fairness this release seems to be aimed at the hardcore Zep fans. Thankfully I'm one of the many and this was worth picking up.
  • Album only!

I own the original 2 disc release of this album. I was ready and willing to pay for the extra tracks that weren't included on the original 2 disc release. Unfortunately 1 of these tracks is only included with a full album purchase. I'm not going to pay (again) for songs that I already own. So now instead of getting around $10 out of me to purchase these extra tracks they'll get nothing from me. Greed! Greed! Greed!

This has been released as two discs before and adding a third disc is a cash grab, especially when the last added songs sound terrible. Skip it, you don't need it.

"One More Time Into The Breach!"-Just watched an interesing interview with Jimmy Page reminiscing about how the BBC was so generous with their time and studios to let a long-haired bunch of blues-raving teenagers into their hallowed halls in the first place! Page now says "His Work Is Done"; He has found and laboriously re-mastered every scrap of "Zep-History" he could uncover, (Even from rare Japanese Bootlegs!); Every Album; Every Live Show, From the inception of "The New Yardbirds" to right here & now!-Personally; I can't ait to get my hands & ears around this compilation. {Frankly, I don't want Zep to ever re-unite or re-tour; Unless it's for a one-off huge charity event of their own choosing.} I remember them well, Thiroughly enjoyed them then, Never ever saw them in Concert, Wish them the very best!...by Grimmbo.

Some great versions of Led Zeppelin classics, newly remastered.
  • iTunes ruse

I purchased this album about 3 months ago. It had 24 songs on it then. Now there's 33 songs, and the last 9 are terrible, and the price has gone up. Now iTunes has taken the 24 song version off the site so they can sell the more expensive version. Also this is the 2nd review that I have written. I wrote one a week ago and it hasn't posted yet. Shocker…
  • Good but not the best for Zep......

Live albums sometimes leave a lot to be desired, this is one of them. I'm a big fan love their work. All their studio albums are outstanding but this one didn't rise to that level. If your a pure Zep fan spend the money. For me I found the interface with the BBC on it a bit subpar. Save your money and get their other ones.

Seems alittle shady that this is a rerelease being labeled as new content. All I'm seeing is some "newly discovered tracks" that have been circulating for awhile on the net lumped into a previously released live album for an all new higher price.
