Hey! Come on Dudes & Dudetts at Least he's not dead YET!
But he IS ill but at least he's in stable condition, his vital signs are stable and he's able to recover from his condition.
How ever this album isn’t as GOOD as meat Loaf’s OTHER albums
Which is why I’d rather listen to bat out of hell 1,2, and 3 Hang cool teddy bear ,Hell in the hand basket and his other albums then listen to Meat Loaf’s NEW voice and so on.
unfortunate

For all of their past triumphs, this is a record that shoudln't have been made. The range, power, and spirit are all gone. These might be good songs.....but we'll never know because Meat has lost the ability to give them life. Don't blame the singer, at some point time and age always win. But don't waste your money, the Meat / Jim catalog is plenty big and will always bring me joy.

What you all expect the Meat is old and the voice and vocal do change in everyone that get up there in age. Love everything he has done.

As time began to take it's toll on both Jim and Meat, I was hoping against hope that we would have just one more wagnerian level effort from the legendary duo... Sadly, the magic is gone. The songs from Jim are mostly old and/or unused Broadway show-tunes that are thick with dust. And the less said of Meat's ravaged and faded vocals the better. There are extended song segments that are little more than spoken-word... We love you Meat and we will always cherish you but, the curtain has finally come down, the sun has finally set... Thanks for the memories. ;-)
His voice has gone

Wow, I feel like I'm listening to a high school production of a musical
One of the worst ever

Big Meat fan. Big Steinman fan. But this album is one of the worst ever... not just for either of them, but in the history of music. Vocal ability is shot, production is dull, songs are boring and without a single hook... and way too long. So disappointing. There's just no redeeming value at all here. Someone fell asleep at the wheel. This album is a lemon and I want my money back.
Don't blame Jim Steinman

The music and lyrics, save for the first song and Godz, are phenomenal. Sadly, they are sung by Meat Loaf whose voice is gone. Finis. Over. But Steinman can still write. Get "Prize Fight Lover" into the hands of Bruce Springsteen and there's a #1 hit on AR radio. As it is, it's just a bonus cut on a deluxe edition of a pretty badly sung LP.
Still great after all of these years

Can never get enough of Meat. All of these whiners, noones voice is as good as it was when they were twenty. He has aged, but the spirt and the quality, while different is still great. Enjoys this Icon for what he is and for as long as we have him. He is still one of the best to me. These songs are wonderfull, no matter when they were written. I would still go see him, even if he had to speak the words. He is be thanked for all he has given us.
This is not Meatloaf...it

If you are interested in wasting your money and feeling violated by your past experiences and enjoyment of the original Bat of Hell album or even Welcome to the Neighborhood, this is your album. Might be one of the worst album ever released. Meatloaf is not singing......he might be choking, coughing, gargling...but definitely not singing. This album will soon be available for free in a trash can near you or I-Tunes will directly download it into your music files as a "gift". Either way, do not buy it with money.
