I don't know, maybe I got spoiled after the "English Riveria" album. To me that is one of the greatest albums, not just from Metronomy but any artist mind you. Wasn't that impressed with "Love Letters" and while this is a better effort...it still seems a bit underwelming. That's just my honest opinion.

A lot of their songs bring back their old feel.

I love how Metronomy manages to juke and slip between styles and genres. One moment they are pensive and reflective. The next moment they are fierce and funky. Each release is always a keeper.

Sounds like the ghost of Mick Karn on some tracks...makes me want to hear "Gentleman Take Polaroids" again. Thanks!

Metronomy are the best! I love how each next release shows the band’s evolution. Yet there is an obvious and understandable yet subtle harkening to earlier works. In other words, they have done well here giving us something that sounds new and fresh yet clearly and uniquely “Metronomy”.
