The vocalist has some of the goofiest growls in extreme metal. I have all their albums because I find that the drumming is very excellent. One day I lay listening them and realized how rather annoying the growls can be. The guitar work is impressive on some tracks but on most they are a bit boring, somewhat repetitive. The lyrics are incredible but I find that the drumming really is the best part of this band. Maybe the next album will prove me wrong. We shall see.

When this first came out, I was not a fan because it didn’t seem heavy like The Way of All Flesh. After 4 years later and countless number of listens, I appreciate the album for what it is and showcasing the incredible musicians Gojira are as a band. Keep the metal coming guys! I will forever be a fan!
